A bit more about me
I grew up in Spring Hill near the small town of Kingston, in rural Victoria on a small 10 acre hobby farm. It was here that I developed a love of nature and the outdoors and a deep connection with animals. As I grew up I became deeply curious and occupied by questions about existence, the universe and spirituality. This lead me to study different religions, history, psychology and archaeology from an early age. When Mum placed my first ever book on Buddhism by Thich Nhat Hanh in my hands, I found a lifelong teacher in the wise little monk from Vietnam.
At 20 I shifted from Archaeology at La Trobe into Philosophy, Buddhist Studies and History. I spent my 20’s travelling the world, working as a bartender and for environmental organisations like The Wilderness Society, AYCC and 350.org.
My 30’s were characterised by more bartending, and after being told by enough regulars, guests and friends that I should be a counsellor, when we all went into lockdown I decided I should apply for a Masters in Counselling at Monash. I now work as a part time Student Counsellor at MIT and have my own Telehealth practice, Deep Earth Therapy.
On my weekends I return to the Spring Hill home, and run a retreat, weddings and accomodation space on my parents farm with Mum called Deep Earth Sanctuary. I conduct in person counselling sessions here. Mum operates as a Reiki Healer (Deep Earth Healing.) here too. All the Deep Earth stuff comes from Mum and Dad’s organic herb farm business called Deep Earth Organic Herbs. We thought we’d keep the name alive.
